Sweets & Snacks Expo Chicago 2010
German exhibitors had a successful Chicago Sweets and Snacks ExpoThe Sweets and Snacks Expo 2010, North America’s biggest confectionery trade fair, was held between 25 and 27 May 2010. The name change of what was previously the "All Candy Expo” is also an indication of the fair’s significance for snacks and particularly the dry meat snack widely popular in the USA , "beef jerky”. Consequently, according to the NCA ( National Confectioners Association), the number of exhibitors and visitors was distinctly higher this year.
Germany was represented by a great many exhibitors. The German Sweets joint booth played home to 9 exhibiting companies, namely Baur Chocolat, Coppenrath, Kaiser, Ludwig Schokolade, Niederegger, Dr. Quendt, Rausch, Sadex, and Viba.
Also representing Germany, German Sweets members Aachener Printen- und Schokoladenfabrik Henry Lambertz, Mederer, Ragolds, and Storck presented their products at their own exhibition booths. In addition, numerous other German confectionery companies were represented by their importers.
