This weekend, as every year, Midsummer is celebrated at the end of June. This year, the special festival falls on Friday the 24th of June. Especially in Scandinavia and the Baltic States, the summer solstice celebrations, that is, the longest night of the year, are celebrated.
Relatives, friends and neighbors often gather to celebrate together. The country that is inevitably associated with Midsummer is Sweden.
