At this year's general assembly German Sweets e. V., the export association of the German confectionery industry, re-elected Dr. Stefan Feit, Boettger Food Ingredients GmbH, as their chairman. The two vice chairmen Uwe Vielstich, Kalfany Süße Werbung GmbH & Co. KG and Sebastian Jancke, Gebr. Jancke GmbH were also confirmed by the members. Newly elected to the board were Corinna Wartenberg, Viba sweets GmbH, and Holger Werner, Hanns G. Werner GmbH & Co. KG. Confirmed as board members were Carsten Hirsch, Dr. C. Soldan GmbH, Günther Kraus, Eichetti Confect Spezialitäten A. Eichelmann GmbH & Co. KG, Andreas Meindl, Seeberger GmbH, Barbara Tusky, Gut Springenheide GmbH, Michael de Voogd, Ludwig Schokolade GmbH & Co. KG, Olaf Wilcke, Katjes Fassin GmbH & Co. KG, and Stefan Hund, XOX Gebäck GmbH.
German Sweets, which supports more than 100 companies in their international export activities, is looking ahead. "After a year marked by Corona pandemic, BREXIT and U.S. punitive tariffs, we are now counting on a new impetus from the reopening of physical trade shows in the second half of 2021," says Dr. Stefan Feit, Chairman of German Sweets e. V.. The association's schedule includes ANUGA in Cologne in October and Food Ingredients Europe FIE in Frankfurt in December for the semi-finished products sector.
