From 12th to 14th April 2023, the first edition of ISM-Japan was successfully held in Tokyo. Embedded in other exciting trade fairs, the ISM confectionery trade fair attracted the attention of many interested trade visitors and was thus able to complete a successful start. For German confectionery and snack manufacturers, the fair was also a successful starting signal for more involvement in the japanese market. From the German Sweets network and in the German pavilion, eight companies presented their diverse products.
Overall, the German exhibitors were very satisfied with the course of the fair and were able to establish many new business contacts. They particularly praised the high quality of the visitors and the great interest in the German product range. ISM Japan was also an excellent opportunity for German exhibitors to present their products to an international audience from the East Asian region.
The organizers of the fair were also very satisfied with the successful start. The high number of visitors and the large number of exhibitors showed that the dynamic at trade fairs has also returned in Japan. ISM Japan could therefore develop into an important platform for the confectionery and snack industry in East Asia in the future.
